You know this already – but writing it down so you remember. As much as you love the novelty of travel and seeing beautiful places, deep down you know that what you are looking for and craving above all else is the feeling of home. And you often find yourself wanting only to have someone you love, and children that are yours to love and care for, in a place that is stable. A good life. That is all that matters at the end of the day. And even if just that is the takeaway from travelling – its a useful one. So enjoy this trip and be present, and allow it to be a natural transition point in life. A signpost to say goodbye to an era, and welcome another. Cherish it. Enjoy it while it lasts. Because as you know better than I, as soon as you settle, you will miss the romantic fallacy of movement. And it is beautiful and fun and filled with novelty, but remember for all that it is, there is all it can never be. And that’s alright. It is only from the experience of movement that you come to appreciate the beauty of standing still.
